FAQ's

What if I return my toys late?

Members can go online and renew their toys or you can just let the library know by email or phone.

What should I do regarding cleaning toys?

Please return all items you borrow clean and ready to be played with by the next family. This includes outdoor toys and party packs.

How do I know which toys are best for my child?

All toys are labelled with a suggested age group, and some toys also have warnings about small pieces, laces etc. We encourage families to check that the toys they borrow are safe for their child.

Do I need to provide batteries?

Nope, all toys come with batteries. However, we do not replace batteries at the toy library but we assume all battery functions work when fresh batteries are used – if this is not the case please let us know.

What if i break a toy?

We understand that accidents happen, however if toys are broken members may need to pay a partial cost for a replacement.

Can I donate toys?

Absolutely! We accept good quality toys that meet our safety standards so that many more families can enjoy the fun.

Do I need to now anything about safety?

Parents and carers are responsible for looking after their children while at the toy library and that borrowed toys are always used safely.

Please note that it is the law in Victoria for all bike and scooter riders to wear a helmet when riding. When you borrow bikes and scooters from the toy library it is your responsibility to make sure that your child always wears a helmet when riding.

Do you offer gift memberships?

Yep! Feel free to get in touch with us by phone or email to discuss your needs and we’d be happy to help.

What Our Families are Saying

The Toy Library is such a vital part of the Mornington community. Both our kids adore the Library and look forward to visiting each week. In addition, the 'borrowing' mindset it has instilled in our children stays with them through their day to day lives.
